Maine Bitcoin LLC, policy for purchase and sale of bitcoin and/or similar commodities.

Quick overview for our customers:
Maine Bitcoin LLC is a private investor, not an investment advisor, investment service firm, financial service, or money transmitter. Any use or attempt to use the company to fill any third party investment or transmission is a violation of these terms.
When making a transaction buying or selling bitcoin and/or similar commodities the transaction must be completed by the customer and for the customer. No funds can be received or sent through or to another party as the purpose of the transaction. Transactions of buying or selling bitcoin and/or similar commodities with or for currency are considered transactions for investment purposes. Identification is required for transactions involving the sale of bitcoin and/or similar commodities at or before customer pays equal to or greater than the amount of 3000 USD at a time or in total inside a 24 hour period. Identification may be gathered electronically.
Purchases cannot be refunded. A user may offer to sell their investment at a later date with no assumed expectation of gain or value. The user may be subject to a separate evaluation and or additional fees when selling their investment.
When making a transaction for a product or service it may be purchased as a gift. Transactions for products or services do not require the same verification process as investment transactions. We follow requirements that pertain to these types of transactions separately from our policy on investment transactions and follow applicable laws and regulations concerning the purchase and sale of products and or services. When Maine Bitcoin LLC pays for products or services using bitcoin and/or similar commodities it will record such amounts and rendered service or product costs in business records to reflect the purchase value of the asset(s). If a customer is involved in such a transaction they may request this cost for their own accounting purposes at the time of the transaction.
Returns or refunds of products or services purchased with bitcoin and/or similar commodities may be returned by following the same calculation used to find the bitcoin and/or similar commodities payment amount originally, except the current valuation of the asset will be used, not the historical value as when the purchase was made.
Maine Bitcoin LLC is registered with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network and has a developed AML policy. This policy holds procedural specifics that may be more stringent than the outline given in this policy.
Policy as follows;
Bitcoin and/or similar commodities such as bitcoin are used as investment commodity or money depending on the type of transaction the user engages in. Maine Bitcoin LLC is a user of such commodity for the purpose of investment, but may also accept or spend bitcoin and/or similar commodities as payment for products and or services. This policy is in place to define these transactions, our limitations, and our compliance with possible regulatory measures.
Maine Bitcoin LLC is registered with The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. This registration is for the safety of our business and our customers as Bitcoin and similar bitcoin and/or similar commodities are an emerging space that have much confusion and displacement in regulation. We comply to the best of our ability with AML (anti-money laundering) and KYC (know your customer) practices to the extent outlined by FinCEN in the following documents; FIN-2013-G001 , FIN-2014-R011 , FIN-2015-R002 , FIN-2019-G001 .

Section One, bitcoin and/or similar commodities investment transactions.
Buying Commodities.
When Maine Bitcoin LLC purchases bitcoin and/or similar commodities the purchase may be from a customer that has requested such transaction or a person or business who offers such a transaction. When a customer seeks Maine Bitcoin LLC for a transaction the customer will be treated as such and any applicable AML and KYC procedures will be taken. When Maine Bitcoin LLC seeks purchase of bitcoin and/or similar commodities from an offer presented by a person or entity it is assumed such person or entity complies with any applicable requirements to make such a transaction and are not considered a customer of Maine Bitcoin LLC, rather Maine Bitcoin LLC will be considered the customer of the person or entity offering the transaction. If Maine Bitcoin LLC knows or has reasonable suspicion the entity is not adequately following any required regulatory measures it will if possible cease any transaction(s) with the entity.
When a customer seeks to sell bitcoin and/or similar commodities to Maine Bitcoin LLC they must make the transaction themselves and they must receive funds to themselves. No payment made by Maine Bitcoin LLC may be sent to anyone other than the seller of the bitcoin and/or similar commodities.
Customers may be required to present government issued identification and/or verify a phone to complete a transaction. Such requirements are based on transaction volume and are presented clearly for the customer at the place and time of transaction. The company may require additional identification items as dictated by the AML policy.
Bitcoin and/or similar commodities purchased from a customer are final transactions and cannot be returned. Returns are only applicable when payment cannot be made to the customer.
Selling Commodities.
When Maine Bitcoin LLC sells bitcoin and/or similar commodities the sale may be to a customer that has requested such transaction or a person or business who offers such a transaction. When a customer seeks Maine Bitcoin LLC for a transaction the customer will be treated as such and any applicable AML and KYC procedures will be taken. Maine Bitcoin LLC may buy or sell products for bitcoin and/or similar commodities. These products may include anything physical that is defined as a product, software, or gift cards and certificates that may be spent on products or services from a specific business. It does not include payment instruments like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or similar gift or pre paid cards, nor does it include checks that can be redeemed for anything besides a product or service from a specific business.
When Maine Bitcoin LLC pays for products or services using bitcoin and/or similar commodities it will record such amounts and rendered service or product costs in business records to reflect the purchase value of the commodity for the investment position of Maine Bitcoin LLC.
Maine bitcoin LLC may pay for or charge for services and or products using bitcoin and/or similar commodities. These services may include but are not limited to utility bills, phone bills, work orders, subcontracting, and education.
Transactions for products or services do not require the same verification process as investment transactions. We follow requirements that pertain to these types of transactions separately from our policy on investment transactions and follow applicable laws and regulations concerning the purchase and sale of products and or services for transactions made in such a manner as the purchase or sale of a product. Maine Bitcoin LLC monitors all transactions for suspicious activity and follows reporting requirements for suspicious activity when found.
